เมื่อวันที่ 22 สิงหาคม 2568 ที่ผ่านมา ผศ. ดร.กุสุมา กูใหญ่ ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันสันติศึกษา และคณาจารย์ประจำสถาบันฯ ให้การต้อนรับ H.E. Mr. Robert F. Godec เอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐอเมริกาประจำประเทศไทย และคณะ ในโอกาสเยือนสถาบันสันติศึกษาเพื่อศึกษาและแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลความรู้ด้านการเมือง เศรฐกิจ สังคม และสถานการณ์ในจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ ณ ห้องประชุมสันติธรรม อาคารสถาบันสันติศึกษา
ในโอกาสนี้ ผศ. ดร.รุ่งรวี เฉลิมศรีภิญโญรัช ได้นำเสนอข้อมูลว่าด้วยเรื่องกระบวนการสันติภาพในจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ ซึ่งมีจุดเริ่มต้นการเจรจาสันติภาพอย่างเป็นทางการในปี พ.ศ. 2556 และพัฒนาการจนถึงปัจจุบัน โดยมี ผศ. ดร.ศรีสมภพ จิตร์ภิรมย์ศรี และ ดร.รุสตั้ม หวันสู ร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนและให้ข้อมูล

U.S. Ambassador to Thailand visited Institute for Peace Studies, PSU, to discuss southern Thai conflict.

On 22 August 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kusuma Kooyai, Director of the Institute for Peace Studies (IPS), together with lecturers, had the honor of welcoming H.E. Mr. Robert F. Godec, Ambassador of the United States of America to Thailand, and his delegation on the occasion of their visit to the Institute for Peace Studies. The purpose of the visit was to study and exchange knowledge on the political, economic, and social situation as well as the ongoing violent conflict in Thailand’s southern border provinces.
On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rungrawee Chalermsripinyorat presented an overview on the peace process in the southernmost region, highlighting the inception of the official peace dialogue in 2013 and its subsequent developments to the present. Asst. Prof. Dr. Srisompob Jitpiromsri and Dr. Roostum Vansu also joined the session to provide additional insights.
